Welcome to the Alliance Amateur Radio Club (AARC) Wiki [1]

The Alliance Amateur Radio Club, Inc., formed in 2007, offers a program of educational and civic activities in one of the largest cities in Denton County. We are soon to be an ARRL Special Services Club supporting a full complement of activities including Field Day participation, and active support of public service events.

The club also maintains the Emergency Communications Center, located in downtown Trophy Club. Here are our Articles of Incorporation and club Bylaws.

We hold weekly information net meetings on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m. on the KA5R club repeater. Input frequency = 446.350 (where you talk) PL Tone (CTCSS) = 110.9 Output frequency = 441.350 (where you listen) This is a standard +5 MHz split.

If you would like to join the AARC, or obtain more information, drop by one of our net meetings or contact one of our club Officers. Visitors are always welcome!

We actively support education to help get your first amateur radio license or to upgrade it. See the License Exams page for information on taking an amateur radio exam from the Alliance area W5YI VE team.

There are also other activities for the Alliance area ham that are not part of the AARC. Many of our club members participate in these additional activities (such as public service events, RACES, and the VE program). Links and additional information is provided on the Public Service page for your convenience and we encourage your participation.
